Lypospheric/Liposomal Vitamin C

Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin and an antioxidant, which was recognised as a cure for scurvy long before it was identified in 1933.  Interestingly on anecdotal evidence, which is so underestimated and unacceptable these days within the Pharmaceutical Industry.  Recently it has received a lot of attention from the healthcare industry.
Vitamin C has many roles within the body.  It may surprise you to know that the chief function of Vitamin C is in the production of collagen.  Facial wrinkles can be a sign of a life-long deficiency of Vitamin C.  However collagen does much more than just stop our faces sagging. It's the structural protein that holds our bodies together. This means that Vitamin C is able to speed the healing of wounds, prevent bleeding gums, strengthen blood capillaries and vessels which in turn help to prevent heart attacks and strokes.
Vitamin C also boosts the immune sytem.  Although some research studies will dispute this.  I can tell you though that I have used Vitamin C for decades to avoid infections from all sources and rarely get viral or bacterial infections of any sort.  Studies have also shown that megadoses of Vitamin C can reduce a wide range of cancers and help to prolong the survival rate of cancer patients.  Vitamin C can help to lower cholesterol in dosages of 1,000mg per day by speeding its conversion to bile.  Vitamin C is known to assist iron absorption and reduces histamine production.

Symptoms of Vitamin C deficiency
  • Susceptibility to colds and infections and allergies
  • Slow wound healing and easy bruising
  • Inflamed Gums
  • Fatigue and anaemia
  • Nervousness, anxiety and depression
  • Varicosities i.e. piles and varicose veins

Linus Pauling
Linus Pauling was an American chemist, biochemist, peace activist, author and educator.  He was one of the most influential chemists in history and ranks among the most important scientist of the 20th century.  Pauling was among the first scientist to work in the fields of quantum chemistry and molecular biology.

Pauling is one of only four individuals to have won more than one Nobel Prize.  He is one of only two people awarded Nobel Prizes in different fields (the chemistry and peace prizes), the other being Marie Curie (the chemistry and physics prizes) and the only person awarded two unshared prizes.

He carried out research into the benefits of Vitamin C and was a huge personal champion of the therapeutic use of Vitamin C for most of his life before he died at 93.  He wrote and co-wrote many books on Vitamin C and carried out several studies.Vitamin C is now a therapy in its own right.  Intravenous Vitamin C is the best way to get large amounts of Vitamin C into the bodies cells quickly.  Liposomal Vitamin C is the next best alternative using lipid carrying molecules to move through the cell walls more easily.  Liposomal Vitamin C is thought to be 10-20 times more bio available to the body than tablets, capsules or powder.

Additional Benefits of Liposomal Vitamin C
  • No gastric distress even in large doses.
  • No extra load on the kidneys because there is no increase in urine output.
  • Maximum benefit from the delivery system plus additional benefits of the phosphatidyl choline (a major component of biological membranes) used in the liposomes that carry and protect the Vitamin C.
