In the Western World, green tea has gotten a great deal of attention. Yet researchers now believe that black tea provides many of the same health benefits as green tea. Studies of humans and animals show that the antioxidants in both black and green teas are highly beneficial to our health; they modify our metabolism to detoxify our body from harmful chemicals. Both Black and green tea come from the camellia tea plant and are rich in polyphenols, which are a type of antioxidant. These wonder nutrients scavenge for cell-damaging free radicals in the body and detoxify them. Whether it's green or black, tea has about eight to 10 times the polyphenols found in fruits and vegetables.
The "secret" ingredient in this tea is Tulsi. Tulsi (also known as Holy Basil) is a powerful healing herb that has been revered for centuries in India for its power to relieve stress and boost the body's natural immune system. ORGANIC INDIA is the first company to bring Tulsi to the West as an organic tea. They work with thousands of farmers in India to cultivate the herb using environmentally sustainable methods, restoring vitality to the earth and dignity to its people. Enjoy the full-bodied flavor of this special tea and reap the benefits of its healthy effect on your body and mind. Breakfast Tulsi Tea: because not all teas are created equal.

As part of their mission to create a sustainable global environment, Organic India engages in farming practices that regenerate the soil and protect the biodiversity of the earth.
What is organic farming? Organic farming is the practice of growing crops without the use of chemical pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers. It relies mainly on crop rotation, organic fertilizers and plant-based pesticides and herbicides to maintain soil productivity and tilth.
Why is organic farming important? There is more and more evidence that chemical-based fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides are extremely harmful to their health. However, the strongest argument in favor of organic farming remains the environmental benefit. In a world facing a global climate crisis, it has become imperative that they do as much as possible to reduce the negative effects of global warming. Harmful emissions are released into their atmosphere during the manufacturing of these chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides that have been linked to global warming. Conventional agriculture relies heavily on these chemicals which further harm their eco-system when they enter their soil and seep into water supplies.
